This inclusion enriches the ongoing "Ozzy Osbourne Working Class Hero" exhibition, which commenced last June and has been prolonged through September 27th.
The exhibition presents a rich collection of artifacts spanning Osbourne's illustrious career, from numerous awards and platinum records to evocative photographs illustrating his journey from a humble upbringing in Aston, Birmingham, to his global recognition as a heavy metal pioneer. Sharon Osbourne, his wife, expressed that the throne's placement in the museum is a fitting tribute, allowing fans to connect with a significant emblem of his final stage presence.
Despite its strong association with his last concert, the gothic throne, adorned with a bat's head and wings, initially debuted at the 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. It became an essential prop for Osbourne's live appearances in his later years, necessitated by ongoing health issues, including a Parkinson's disease diagnosis in 2020. His final performance took place on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham, featuring collaborations with Black Sabbath and other notable artists like Metallica and Guns N' Roses, just weeks before his passing on July 22.
